MOTORING THROUGH MOORE

Discover the charm and character of the Sandhills behind the wheel during Motoring Through Moore, an all-new Friday feature of the 2026 Sandhills Motoring Expo. This curated driving tour offers an immersive, guided journey through the heart of southern Moore County – where Southern heritage, natural beauty, and small-town history converge.

Limited to just 40 cars, participants will embark on a scenic 90-minute tour that winds through the historic downtowns of Pinehurst, Southern Pines, and Aberdeen. Along the route, you’ll pass through the region’s renowned horse country, past several prestigious golf courses, and by the Moore County Airport, with thoughtfully planned waypoints highlighting the area’s most iconic landscapes.

The tour will be led by the Expo Commissioner Chris Smith, who will also host a casual lunch at the legendary Pine Crest Inn upon arrival at the finish line. During the luncheon, Chris will share stories and insights about the past, present, and future of Sandhills Motoring, providing a rare inside look at the vision behind the Expo’s continued growth and community impact.
